They feature a single metric scale with blue printed numerals and graduations on one side, and molded graduations on the opposite side. The flared top and large spout make pouring easier, while the hexagonal shaped base prevents tipping and rolling.

The polypropylene surface is 'nonwetting', which eliminates concave meniscus and ensures more accurate readings. These cylinders are also chemically resistant and can be autoclaved at 121°C (250°F). There are various sizes and quantities available, ranging from 10ml to 1000ml. This particular cylinder has a capacity of 500ml, with graduations marked at 5ml intervals from 50ml to 500ml.
